Position Summary:
The Credentialing and Enrollment Specialist manages new Group and/or Individual provider enrollment and credentialing applications processes. The Credentialing and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting credentialing applications and supporting documentation for the purpose of enrolling individual providers and provider groups with payers. In addition, tracking progress and follow up on the status of pending applications occurs until fully processed/approved. This includes but is not limited to contacting payers via telephone, website, or payer portal to determine updated payer processes, and any additional communication with the client as needed to collect demographic information, supporting documentation and finalize applications prior to submission.
